SCAIA Corvina Rossa Veneto IGT by Tenuta Sant’Antonio is a modern Italian red wine from Veneto. The wine is made 100% from the Corvina grape variety and comes from vineyards in the municipalities of Colognola ai Colli and Mezzane di Sotto, northeast of Verona.

In the glass, SCAIA Corvina Rossa shows a ruby red color with purple reflections. The bouquet is floral and fruit-driven with notes of red roses, violets, cherries, sour cherries, plums, and wild berries. On the palate, the red wine is intense, fresh, and spicy, with good body and a balanced structure.

Origin & Vinification

The name "SCAIA" comes from the Venetian dialect and means stone chip, chalk, or limestone. It refers to the calcium-rich soils of the region northeast of Verona, near the well-known growing areas of Valpolicella and Soave.

The grapes are lightly cold-fermented, gently pressed, and aged at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. This preserves the fresh, fruity, and clear character of the Corvina grape.
